Flying ANA, you earn 380 miles per flight and one mile per every 100 yen. Flying JAL, you earn nothing.

I don't know in which frequent flying programme you earn EQM and RDM. Both ANA and JAL use different names for their points. Are you talking about partner accrual rates?

With my luck, I'd get in middle seat near the back between two guys with greasy hair.

If a flight isn't going anywhere, can it arrive late?

Back in Dec. JAL did Disney themed Trip to Nowhere charter flights, too.

Looks like Trip to Nowhere flights are popular, least in Japan. ANA will do another Hawaii themed A380 trip to nowhere flight.
NRT departure: April 11
KIX departure: April 17 and April 18
NGO departure: April 24 and April 25

ANA is also doing dining in the plane experience on March 31. 777 parked at HND, the plane will not take off, will be parked all the time. People will have first class meal and business class meal inside of the plane parked at HND.
First class: 59,800 yen
Business class: 29,800 yen

Info here (website in Japanese only)

It doesn’t say the number of guests the banquet option price is based on.
Anyways, I think it’s kind of dumb but I’m sure there will be a demand.
