Private Guide and Van

Looking for a Driver/Guide to take 6 of us from Tokyo to the Port in Yokohama--with a short tour and a couple of stops of Yokohama on the way.

Anyone have contacts with a person or a company?

Thanks.

I'd suggest chartering a taxi from MK. They should be able to provide a vehicle for six passengers plus luggage with an English-speaking driver - not a qualified tourist guide but capable of getting you to the places that you want to visit on your way to Yokohama and communicating in English:

KM taxi can do the same - I have found them to be good, but not as good as MK. YMMV.

if you really need a tourist guide to plan an itinerary for you and entertain you with tidbits of history and culture, that's another matter.

I think MK started in Kyoto. In my experience, it's is a cut above most taxi firms - nicer vehicles, more courteous drivers.
KM and Nippon Kotsu are alright.
Checker Cab and Tokyo Musen can be below par for Tokyo - but still better than what you'll get in many large cities around the world.
A good Kojin Taxi beats them all hands down.
