Niseko Accommodation

I'm trying to plan a last min ski trip over xmas to niseko, I was able to find award flights, but am struggling to find any accommodations, i checked hotels, rakuten travel, airbnb, vrbo, etc.

The only thing I found available was a capsule hotel, which would be okay, but there's only female space available

Any suggestions on local websites/travel agents that may be able to find some space to house the two of us?

Which days are you looking to ski? You're flying in/out of CTS, correct?

yeah, quite a few places available on Rakuten (Japanese website) in that area, in 12/24 & out 12/26, for instance.

Some of these places are very expensive, like Niseko Northern Resort at 27,000y per night. But Natural Resort Niseko is only 8,600y per night. Both breakfast inclusive.

Few other no-frills type places also show availabilities. But you'd better hurry, because all these places either say 1 room left or 2 rooms left only for those hypothetical dates.

Rakuten is showing a couple of rooms available in Niseko on each night for that period - But at different hotels on each night. If you're committed to Niseko, you should probably reserve those rooms soon.

how are you searching, when i put in my dates, I get: "We're sorry.
We were unable to find anything available that met the conditions of your last request.
Please adjust your search conditions and try your search again"

even when I use the Japanese version, I get "誠に申し訳ございませんが、この検索条件に該当する空室が見つかりませんでした"
Which means no vacancy according to google translate

I searched Rakuten Travel for Niseko region - 1 room for two people
http://travel.rakuten.co.jp/yado/hokkaido/niseko.html

On 26/Dec, the site lists rooms at
Natural Resort Niseko Weiss Hotel
One Niseko Resort Towers
Niseko Onsen Niseko Grand Hotel
Hilton Niseko Village
etc.

On 27/Dec, the site lists rooms at
Niseko Park Hotel

On 28-30/Dec, the site lists rooms at
Niseko Tokyu Resort

TBH, those last two places don't look all that good to me and the thought of moving from one accommodation to the next does not appeal. I'd probably opt to visit a different resort. But If Niseko is whatcha want, then those appear to be available.

Oooh, I see what you mean, to move hotels every day... yikes. yah I was hoping to be able to stay in one spot.

Are there any other ski areas near sapporo that are good? We want to experience the powder and heard niseko was the place to go! Are there any other recommendations?

I've heard that Rusutsu, Furano and Kurodake are pretty good too. Never been to any of them (in winter) though.

Visited ones in order of my preference
Rusutsu
Furano
Niseko
Tomamu
Sapporo Kokusai and Teine

Good luck with the rooms during this time of the year, though.
