Shinkansen advice
Could anyone help with this please?
I have two standard car unreserved tickets on the Shinkansen tomorrow from Kyoto to Tokyo - is it possible to pay a fee and upgrade these tickets to the green car? If so does anyone know how much it would cost?

All you have to do is go to Kyoto Station's JR ticket office (Midori no Madoguchi) and ask them to reissue tickets for Green Car and pay the price difference. On a Nozomi, the price difference between Green Car and standard-unreserved is 5610yen per person for Kyoto-Tokyo, according to Hyperdia.
