How to Improve Japan
Recently back in Japan. Wonderful place to live. Everything works well. Still a few things I'd like to see changed. Starting with....
What else? |
Bicycle lanes on all major roads and disallowing riding in the sidewalk when a lane exists.
|
At least in Tokyo, more than one 24-hour public transit option. Train or bus, it doesn't matter...
|
More trash bins in public places.
|
Spray to kill the damn mosquitoes.
Second mjm's, would add an extra point that they should be guarded with concrete or something else to ensure you don't get run over by a poorly-skilled driver. |

Faster train to Narita.
And...traffic lights with traffic sensors. |

As a very timid first move, they could start by running an hour or two later on Friday and Saturday night. |

There are night buses running between select places, e.g Shibuya and Roppongi, but strangely enough neither Saturday nor Sunday

This is actually the law but no one abides by it. |

Thanks. That seems pretty useless. At once an hour and Y400, for 3 people, I bet a taxi is cheaper even with the 20% premium and lots more convenient.
The route needs to be longer for starters. London's night busses would be a good example to follow. |

The route needs to be longer for starters. London's night busses would be a good example to follow. If the route was extended to Kabukicho/Higashi Shinjuku, then 400円 wouldn't seem so bad either. HK has another public transit model (in this case, night buses) worth following too. |
