Just throwing out a tidbit for this thread -- there is a small chain of booze "recycle shops" called Liquor Off (yes, seriously) that buys and resells all kinds of alcoholic beverages, ranging from cans of beer to bottles of high-end whiskey and champagne. It is run by the same company that runs Book Off (used bookstore) and the equally amusingly-named Hard Off (used electronics store). Lots of interesting vintage/collectible stuff in there. The closest one to central Tokyo is in Koenji, a couple of stops out of Shinjuku on the Chuo Rapid Line: https://www.hardoff.co.jp/shop/kanto...uoroff/106001/
I may do a TR in a few weeks.

Just ordered a bottle of Fuji Sanroku 18 yrs (2016 edition) for Y28,800 shipped to my buddy's place. This 18 yr old blend is getting harder and harder to be found at sub Y30,000. Had to pull the trigger on this! Not sure if they are releasing any in 2019 but I heard it's only 3000 bottles produced on both 2016 and 2018 version.
