Meeting point at Itami
I've never been to Itami and will be meeting some folks there who will be arriving on a JAL domestic flight. Any suggestions for meeting places?

JAL uses the north terminal. In the arriving hall of the north terminal, which is on the ground floor, there is Eikokuya coffee shop. This is how it looks.

Or in the center block, which is between the north and the south terminals, there is a Mos Burger on the ground floor.

As a coffee lover, I prefer Eikokuya's coffee. They offer hotel-like service. They have a shop in Daimaru Department Store next to Tokyo Station and I used it more than ten times. They may offer free refills for some set menus. Budget 650 yen +.
Mos's coffee is good, too. Budget 250 yen+.

Itami airport is basically two buildings, ANA arrivals in one, JAL in the other. connected by a central building. The exit from baggage claim is a security door and an easy place to wait for someone.

If you prefer Starbucks and don't mind the walk, there's an outlet on the second floor of the south terminal used by ANA. I'd just as soon go to Eikokuya myself.

Personally, I would only meet people at the point where they come out unless they know ITM well themselves. ITM is not a huge airport, but its layout is a bit confusing. The JAL and ANA zones are pretty far from each other, and IIRC you have to walk outside in order to leave the arrivals area.
