Lost my iPhone on the Nex..
i arrive tokyo after 28 hours and i somehow has my iPhone on the airport but it seems i lost it on the Narita Express. I have my data off so i cannot track it online. My hotel called NEX and they didn't find it.
I was in Apple yesterday and they didn't sell without a contract.
Anyone have an idea how can i recover the iPhone, or how to buy a new one? It was a 4s.
Thanks!

Lost property contacts for Narita Airport

Mentally think through your route from the last time you saw the phone to the first time you noticed it was missing. Are there places other than the airport, N'EX and railway stations that you might have left it? If so, it might have been handed into a police box near one of those locations.
Can you make a telephone call to your number?
Failing that, do you have any insurance policy for the trip? (or cover through a credit card etc.). If so, find out what you need to do to file a claim. (e.g. If you need a police document etc.)
Good luck. You couldn't have picked a better country to misplace something valuable ... so don't give up hope just yet.

OP doesn't have "Find my iPhone" activated on the device??? It's trackable whenever it gets connected to the internet by any means. if it hasn't shown up, it probably means it's sitting in a locker at a lost-and-found office somewhere.
I also have a screen saver with my contact information.
>> how to buy a new one?
I think BIC/Yodobashi sell used ones, but they are SIM-locked to local network. I doubt that they require a contract.
Otherwise you need to look for a store that sells "white ROM"(meaning unlocked) phones, such as http://kaitorishonen.com/ , or on amazon.co.jp (search for "iphone 4s 白ロム ")
2nd hand chain shop http://sirorom.e-daikoku.com/index.jsp may carry unlocked ones. They have branches everywhere.

I have lost a cell phone and a train pass worth over 50,000 yen in my time in Japan, and have gotten both back. So there is hope.
Do you have a label or any other kind of outwardly indentifiable feature on the phone that distinguishes it as yours?

Thanks for the answers. Hope is what you get in Japan.
Today after i wrote this post i get to the front desk and ask them to call lost & found in NRT, in Tokyo Station and in Yokohama.
When i came to the hotel after my trip to fish market concierge told me that my phone was in Yokohama, so i took the train there and now i got it.
I really love Japan, i think anywhere else it would be lost.
Thanks guys!
