TMM1982, here is another review with photos (it's actually the one I was originally looking for).
From the review: "I was warmly greeted with a bow by no less than five hotel personnel as I made my way...down the hall, past the Girandole restaurant, through the library, and to the check-in area."
That is the peculiar thing about this hotel - you have to go a longish way upon arrival: up one elevator, past the restaurant, through a library area, to reach the check-in area and main elevators to the floors.
