WIFI in SYD JL lounge

JL use the Qantas lounges in SYD. Depending on your status or class of flight you will be able to use either the Qantas Club Business Lounge or the new F Lounge. Wifi is now free.

The reason I ask is because I was in SYD last month and I was already at the gate and was waiting for a while so i turned on my laptop, but the JL lounge signal was the only one i could pick up.

I see, no lounge access. QF are good at protecting their wifi. I suggest next time you are coming through AUS that you post in the QF Forum Thread titled "QP Get Togethers X" month. Someone with status might be around to invite you in as their guest - we're a friendly sharing lot

As a side note in LAX you can get free access by hanging around the Continental Lounge in T7. I normally sit just down the ramp from the smokers garden.

Actually that flight was my requalifying flight so i will have lounge access in future. But i was just curious because once i'm in the UA gate area, other than telstra and optus paid hotspots, the only one i can pick up is the JL signal. Did they used to have a lounge there? It was definitely a JL signal and it took me to a login page, half in Japanese and half in English.
