Lounge Access on Domestic Flights?

If you're ticketed in JAL business class on a domestic flight in japan- do you get access to the JAL lounge? Thanks! Also, what's the checked bag allowance for econ and business on these routes?

There is no business class on JAL domestic, there it what is branded as Class J, which is just a wider seat and one extra option for the drinks selection, but as it can often be bought at the airport day of departure for 2000 yen (used to be 1000) it is not a bad deal. See it as a premium economy product. It does not come with lounge access. Nor does it offer extra luggage allowance.

JAL does offer domestic first class on A350s and select 767s. First class comes with lounge access, extra luggage allowance, and full catering.

Just one extra item for now according to the website: 野菜生活 オリジナル(カゴメ株式会社)

But the hot green tea also used to be a higher quality one by Japan’s first level 10 tea master maeda fumio pre-COVID but that’s not the case anymore.

Agree on the helpfulness of the answers! What about lounge access during a layover? We are arriving in Tokyo (JAL business class) with a 3-ish hour layover before our flight to Osaka (JAL 737 "business class"). Will we be able to access the domestic lounge as part of the international business class ticket?

You will have domestic Sakura Lounge access

https://www.jal.co.jp/jp/en/inter/se...opics/transit/
When connecting from an International flight to Japan Domestic flight, passengers flying First/Business Class on an International flight are eligible to use the lounge at departure airport and connecting airport.
Passengers flying International flight with Premium Economy Class and Economy Class (Flex Y Fare) are eligible to use the lounge only at departure airport of an International flight.

This is no longer the case. The additional drink option in Class J has been discontinued.

「class J こだわりドリンク」のご提供は、2023年3月末をもって終了いたします。

That's nuts, then why do they sell it as Class J. What about lounge access for oneworld Emeralds on a domestic Japanese flight? Thanks for any insight.
Are there hot meals on longer flights like HND-MMY?
In the Premium Economy, is there a blocked middle seat?

There's no meal served in Class J and there won't be any blocked seats. You get a slightly more comfortable seat and that's it. Sapphire and Emerald will both have access to the corresponding lounge if available at the departure airport.

Class J is basically just better seating, and not much else. There used to be one extra drink selection, the possibility to get a pillow and a blanket. But apart from the nicer seating, it seems to have gone away.

You get 2-3 seating on the 737s, 2-2-2 on 767s, 2-3-2 on the 787s and 2-4-2 on the A350s. Plus extra leg room. Not bad for the price.

There are domestic lounges in a number of airports. The Diamond Premier lounges for F and emerald are available in Haneda, Osaka, Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Naha.
