Can a MPC GO pre-select reserved seats (J window) on JAL?

Does anyone know whether a MPC GO (OWS) is allowed to pre-select reserved J cabin window seats on JAL? Many thanks.

Not 100% sure about MPC, but with OWS you should be able to pre-select most of the available J window seats. That's what I have seen with OWS from AA.

I have no OW status but on a recent JL award redemption, I called in to request a window seat and the agent was able to put in a request. After the call, I was (almost immediately) assigned a window seat that was marked "blocked" on expertflyer.

Thanks.
Was it a Y or J class redemption ticket?

As a one world Sapphire, you can select the following business class window seats
From row 5 on the 767, 787 and 772 (excludes rows 1-4 window seats)
From main cabin on the 777W (excludes whole of mini cabin)

As a non-status passenger (or Ruby member), you can only select the following business class window seats
From second row onward of second cabin on the 767, 787 and 772 (excludes all of the forward cabin window seats and first/exit row of main cabin)
From second row onward of main cabin on the 777W (excludes whole of mini cabin and first/exit row of main cabin)

As a OWE, you have unlimited access.

I have gone up through the ranks on JAL JMB elite status, and since I travel on them a lot, got to see what the offerings are.
Great thing is, its free for all at OCLI (T-24).
So, set your alarm and do OLCI on the dot, and you might even grab seat 1A (or window on row 5 in the mini-cabin on the 77W)!

This was a J redemption ticket. Called about 2 weeks before flight. Was assigned 3K which showed blocked before my call.

Have redemption ticket on F for adults and J for children. No status for JMB. Holds SL for MPC, but can make GO with extra $1,000 MR.

Prefer to have children seated at mini J cabin, closer to F, but it seems, with or without MPC GO, we need to wait till OCLI.

Yes. that mini-cabin is guarded, for status pax only until OCLI, and you get what remains by then (the mini-cabin middle seats usually remain empty unless the whole flight gets full)

Thanks. I guess we need to wait and see then.
