JAL Narita connection

I am flying F LAX to NRT arriving NRT at 4:45pm.

Is it reasonable to schedule a NRT to ITM flight departing the same evening at 6:20pm.

It will be separate tickets, but both on JAL. The NRT to ITM segment is a frequent flyer ticket. I am wondering it I can check bags all the way through to Osaka and bypass customs and immigration at Narita?

Any assistance on timing is appreciated.

Sadly you can't have bags to check through to ITM, as your bags would need to be retrieve and go through customs.

That should be enough time for you to as I remember the MCT is 70 minutes.

You are not flying these two days right?

No, flying next week after typhoon. Happy to avoid another hurricane since I am from Texas.

Thank y’all for your help.

Sorry, the time should be 80 minutes for an international connection domestic

So you might be able to do it...if everything goes smoothly

Personally I would leave more time for a separate ticket connection, since the risk is on you

Problem is that there are only 2 flights from NRT to ITM, and the 6:25 pm is the last one of the day...

Yes there is. The flight attendants will hand out cards together with the immigration forms.

Nrt to fuk

I’m doing the same transfer on Tuesday. Any way to get into the f lounge since I’m flying f to nrt and I’m owe as well instead of the domestic lounge that I assume isn’t very good for a 3.5 hour connection.

It worked

Our flight from LAX into NRT arrived at 4pm.

Fast track to domestic flights had no one in line. We collected our bags and proceeded to JAL domestic checkin. We were in the lounge by 6pm with an hour before boarding. Had the flight been on time, we would have been just fine.

Any delays might have resulted in a late night arrival in Kyoto via Shinkansen.

Thank you for your kind assistance.
