Termination of massage service at HND and NRT lounges from Oct 1 2017

https://www.jal.co.jp/en/info/inter/170721.html

Unfortunately JAL has decided to terminate the complimentary massage service provided by therapists at HND and NRT lounges from Oct 1 2017. Instead, JAL plans to increase the number of Inada 3S Takumi medical massage chairs so more passengers can enjoy a massage before their flights.

Too bad this include the JAL F Lounges as well as the Sakura Lounges.

I hope they at least convert those massage rooms into shower then, there's almost always a good wait for shower at NRT JL lounges.

Just walk over to AC if you need a shower and don't want to wait for JL's.

I only used the service once. To be honest the 15 minute session was kind of pointless, so I am not really sad to see it go. More like indifferent.

But I will take that over nothing It's definitely better than inada 3S.

Think I've only used it twice because it's always full LOL I had to go to the airport hours in advanced to use it.

It's 10 minutes, right? The scalp massage is weird. LOL
But generally this is something I look forward in the lounge. And the robot beer dispenser.

You can still get the massage airside and it's pretty cheap, JPY2,160 for 20 min

The beer dispensers serve a practical purpose, though I rarely use them.

Says 15 minutes but only goes for like 8-10 minutes. Heard Haneda therapist is better than Narita ones keeping the 15 minutes intact.

Use to be longer for First Class Lounge but it got cut.

I like the massage chairs at HND. Better than the pretend massage!

If I am arriving to NRT from an international JAL F flight and connecting to a domestic JAL economy flight. Can I avail myself of the F lounge and massage services at NRT ?

No, you won't have access to the international departure airside.

It's a shame they'll discontinue the massage. I'll have a J flight from NRT in early Nov and would have loved to try it (just once). It'd be my first time in JL's J lounge too!

Sad to hear it ending, but lucky for me I'll be flying through both HND and NRT later this month, so I'll have a chance for "farewell" massages..

What's the minimum connection time you need to schedule a session? I have 90 minutes between my incoming flight from Hong Kong, and out going to LAX.
