JAL extended NRT arrival shower campaign till 31 Mar. 2017.

This is probably one of the benefits a lot of folks (including some JAL regulars ) haven't heard of as JAL only advertise this in Japanese. JAL has been running this shower campaign for couple of years now. They have just extended this for yet another year. Below are the details of the campaign.

Campaign Period
Till Mar 31 2014

Eligible Passengers
First class, Executive class, JMB Diamond, JGC Premier, JMB Sapphire, JAL Global Club members arriving at NRT

Details
When arriving at NRT on a JAL flight, eligible passengers can use the shower facilities on the 1st floor basement of T2. The facility opens daily from 7:00 to 21:00 (last admittance at 20:30). Just present your same day boarding pass if you are eligible based on class of service. For JMB FLY ON members and JGC members, you need to present your membership card too.

For details in Japanese, you can refer to http://www.jal.co.jp/narita-t2/campaign/shower/

So the First Class & Sakura lounges don't have shower facilities in them, we have to detour to the basement?

The domestic sakura lounge has shower facilities, but NRT doesn't have any arrival lounges so if you're not flying domestically from NRT then this is your only option for having a shower after arrival.

Unfortunately no but if you need to use the facility it only costs 1,000 JPY for the first 30 min

That's good to know, thanks. The text above says "JAL flights". Do I need to be on JAL ticket as well?

I never tried but they probably only check your boarding pass and not care who issued the ticket

For anyone who needs this: http://www.jal.co.jp/en/narita-t2/campaign/shower/ confirms that this promotion is ongoing through March 2014. (Mods, you could even update the thread title!)

Just stopped by for a shower after arriving on JL9 this afternoon. It was quite pleasant! There's no signage indicating that this service is complimentary for F passengers though, at least not in English.

The JAL site lists the promotion as through 31 March 2016.

Could you share information that shows it extended beyond that date? Thanks!

T2 has one or two PP lounges that are landside and can therefore serve as arrival lounges. These lounges aren't very good and IIRC there aren't any showers.

BTW, the thread title made me giggle a bit as it could be interpreted as JAL thinking that its passengers need to take showers and hence "campaigning" [urging, persuading] them to do so.
