JAL has been serving Coleslaw and Szechuan Cucumber Salad in Y on ex-HKG flights since APRIL 2010...Is the cucumber that cheap that they have to stick with it for 8 months!?
I just want a change to the salad once in a while, it isn't too much to ask for right?

I wouldn't mind if it's cucumber salad instead of Szechuan cucumber salad...Last time I thought it's odd for them to have some kind of Chinese chicken entree for a couple of months in a row but this Szechuan salad definitely beats that!
Also, it's wo weird that they give out packaged water cup with the meals in Y. They have been doing this for a while...they could have just saved the money by not providing that at all...

going OT: package water in the meal is to reduce the walking for the FA that they can concentrate on selling Inflight duty free!
My Sunday KA flight is not that pack (like 80% Load Factor) and they dont have time to sell duty free!!! I lost my 2x AM when purchase on board for some of my gift to co-worker

The packaged water only appears after they have cut the dessert!
JAL is still doing green tea, tea, coffee run after they have served everyone...oh and I only see those on my ex-HKG flights too....I doubt that's because of letting CA have more time to sell duty free...
There is something seriously wrong with the HKG catering service...not something I look forward to on my flight...I hope the cucumbers will go away for a change on my next flight...if not, I will keep track of it until it goes away

They finally change the Y salad on ex-HKG flight in Jan. But there's the ex-HKG katsu-don which is the worst inflight meal I ever had! I guess the beef rice is the only choice for me

By the way, they finally get rid of the packaged water which is a total waste of money ^

But the worst meals I had on JAL flights are all ex-HKG ones
They really need improvements on ex-HKG meals
