Hello, piggybacking this post instead of starting a new on:
Not been to Sardinia before but saw flights from MAD arriving on a Saturday night 6pm and departing Monday morning 9am, for 60eur r/t, but more importantly I'm out of PTO so this works.
However, would going for essentially just a Sunday be fun? The airport to city transport seems easy, and the museums and sights seem to be open on Sundays although the (fish) market wouldn't.
Late June, would it be already too hot? Here in Madrid the heat waves from Africa start late June and temp gets to 42C and the whole day is spent indoors.
Thank you!

Well, they say is Madrid nueve meses de invierno y tres de infierno. This is clearly not the case for Cagliari where the average for June is 28 / 17 (day / night). By the way, in addition to having fewer crowds, Cagliari is almost equidistant to Palma as Madrid, it is also on an island and it is on the coast of the same sea. Would you go to Palma for a Sunday in late June as a Madrileo?

I dont think its super different in Cagliari than Olbia/north. I looked at temps in the newspaper and there wasnt more than a couple degrees C difference anywhere on Sardinia.

Have been in northern Sardinia since Thursday night (direct flights from Barcelona a couple days a week). One day it got up to maybe 85F/30C; the others I dont think it was above 80/27; super lovely but not steamy.

Enjoying the fregulas and mirtos?
