For those who love Rome and for those who like The New York Review of Books (and for those who prefer an Internet link to the pages themselves or who at least don't happen to have the relevant pages on their coffee table or in their mailbox at the moment), a link:

Sorry about the prosaic title to thread, but I wanted to keep it literal and descriptive.
The actual article is on pages 35-37 of the October 11, 2007, issue and reviews four books on Rome. The link appears to be inclusive as to all the material, though I haven't checked it paragraph by paragraph.
