Benvenuti!
I'm pleased to see this new forum for my favorite (and very frequent) destination, and look forward to brilliant discussions with all of you.
Italy is a wonderful, but oftimes exasperating, country to visit (and more so to live in), so there will be a lot to talk about.
Buon divertimento!

Gargoyle, you beat me to be the first poster in this forum but I edged you out in the new Alitalia Forum.
I hope to see a lot of good posts here about my favorite European country.

There have been a few stories in local media relating to travel in Italy (which I believe is still the #2 European holiday stopover in Europe for Australians, after UK/London).
I hope to find some interesting items here from time to time - maybe even some food-related questions.

I thought they just installed a expresso machine, tv, and moved in a dozen or so couches then called it a day.
