Why does the same train travel duration double in August?

Hello!

I am going to have a train travel in Italy in August. I found that during certain days in August, the same trip costs double amount of time than the other dates. This is true for both Trenitalia and Italo. Does anybody know the reason? Thank you. The screenshots are for Trenitalia (but it is the same case for Italo as well).

Aug 5 - 2 hours

Aug 20 - 1 hour

I would guess a section of track is closed for construction on the first date. One of the results has you change to a bus, and the direct trains take an odd route.
