VCE US-direct security question
We will be flying AA direct from VCE to US coming up. Wondering if there is a priority-type lane for the US direct security line. I've checked the VCE website and several videos and dont see any signage that helps.
If it makes a difference for access, we will be in business and I'm EXP with AA (DH is Plat).
TIA

Was at VCE last month and there was definitely a lot of signage for security for ONLY US-bound flights. My memory was that as you come up from the dock/water taxi area, you hit the US security first and then if you keep going you get to the check-in area but the airport map below says I had it backwards. I was transiting CDG so didn't go through the US security area, but it was definitely there. Unsure whether it is a permanent thing, but they sure spent a lot of money for signage for something that would only be temporary.

Mmh. I know several Italian airports have check-in or security for US/Israeli flights segregated from the rest of the flights, after the PLO attacks in the 1980s, but I don’t recall it being something that happened in VCE too, I recall queueing for security with Emirates and Delta passengers before Covid. Seems I was wrong! However, if the OP wants, I’ll report back when I’m there in August.

If you beat us, it would be interesting to know if there is any kind of fasttrack/priority path through that US security line.
If no one else gets there before us, I will try to post what we run into on our trip with a direct back to the US VCE to ORD
Thanks everyone

Got an email from AA suggesting we arrive 3-1/2hrs ahead, and that the check in desk opens - yup, 3-1/2 hours ahead. Thank goodness for OWE and lounge access.
It might take a couple days after getting back to US for me to post, but I will aim to report back!

Yes there is still separate security for direct US flights and also alll El Al flights.. The schematic earlier in the thread is accurate as of July.
The check in desks for all such flights are at that end of the terminal and feed directly in to that "special" security. Although signage isn't so clear, apparently "priority" on your boarding pass let's you use the security priority waiting lane - was only one screener in use when we came through.
At 8:45am when AA check in deals opened, there were more folks in the priority lane than the main lane for check in.. Assume it is like Miami where if you are priority you can use whatever desk you want! They did adjust so there were 3 priority designated desks going.
