I don't know what you mean by this? I registered for the pass via below. That's who issued it to me. It wasn't valid when scanned by readers here in Italy. I'm not trying to be one of those guys, I'm merely telling you my experience of what I encountered.

Did you get the French pass before you had a booster? If so, it would have been deactivated since the rules changed.

I mean that in America a hand-scribbled note is all you get. We know it, on this forum, and I bet that people in touristy areas in Italy know it too. But not everyone else does. My brother's wife is a surgeon, she doesn't normally interact with Americans, and when she learned that the CDC proof of vaccination was just a piece of paper she was quite surprised. In the end she rationalised that the yellow fever proof is, too, a piece of paper but it was curious nonetheless.

BTW, the link you were showing doesn't work.

Just to be on the safe side and for the avoidance of any doubt: a French pass as the ones issued through the app/website at the link below work perfectly.

madness.
Not everyone is clued in. If airline check-in agents can make mistakes on rules they are more or less trained on, why not "simple" people at restaurants or bars?
By the way, I am using the Belgian App for covid certificates and it always works in Italy.
