Suggestions between Rome and Naples?

Following a few days on the Amalfi coast, I have a flight from FCO mid-day. Instead of making the three-plus-hour trip on that day, I would rather stay somewhere closer to Rome, perhaps on the sea.

Any suggestions? I am not interested in greater Rome or Naples, as I have been there. Priority would be a nice hotel in an interesting local area.

Have a look at Grand Hotel Le Rocce in Gaeta - certainly not 5 star but very picturesque location on a cove - I think most if not all rooms overlook the sea. I haven't been there for a few years but the food in the hotel was nothing special at the time but there were lots of excellent local restaurants in surrounding villages.

Thanks for the tip. I ended up just spending the night in Naples; hopefully next time I can try Gaeta.
