Strike on the 6th?

There is supposed to be a general strike on 6th September which will affect various means of transportation including airports

I have a Ryanair flight from Pisa on that day at noon. Is my flight likely to be cancelled or delayed? I haven't been able to find how non-Italian airlines will be affected. There is nothing on Ryanair's website.

Don't think it makes a difference if the airline you are flying is Italian or not, if airport ground staff and air controllers decide to strike all flights will be grounded.

For everyone else looking at this thread, I just received a text message from Ryanair saying my flight tomorrow was canceled.

Thanks for sharing the info with us, and sorry to hear about your flight. What do you do now? Does Ryanair re-accommodate you?

I think I was able to reschedule myself to a different flight on Wednesday. Their website seemed to have crashed at the end of the process. The website shows my new flight for my original reference number but I did not received a confirmation email.

Other than that issue, I actually don't have any complaints about Ryanair. They let me change my destination from Edinburgh to Glasgow. I don't think they will pay for an extra nights hotel room since the cancellation is due to a strike.
