This is the thread for all posts related to discussion about promotion which might run by IHG apart from the regular (quartely / general) promotions in 2021.
Major Promotions might get its own thread, smaller promotion limited to certain regions or hotels are added in this thread. I have again added a Wiki with links to the running promotion master thread (and again I would like to highlight, that The Wiki does not necessarily have to be maintained by the moderator
)
Most of you with a certain number of posts and member of flyertalk for a longer time can add these promotions to the wikipost above yourself. If you are do not yet have the possibility or do not know how to add them, post them here and alert us via the report button (red triangle with !) and one of the moderators in this forum will add them.
If you have any question to the promotions, post it here and we are sure, you will get an answer.

The current suite life promo includes a 45 EUR daily hotel credit at IC. What could such a credit be used for? Restaurant expenses, room service, spa services, airport transportation...?

There is a promotion currently: Get 100% more points on us when you purchase in the next 2 days. After that, we'll be lowering the bonus amount -- so buy early to earn big. Plus, you can purchase up to 150,000 points.
Is it just me or this is not worth it? You can get 300,000 points for $1,500 however, when i look at the price of rooms, even with the 100% bonus this works out more expensive than actually paying for the room? Am I missing something here?

I'm just paraphrasing and agreeing with what an experienced poster wrote in another thread (about whether you are buying miles and points at the moment) when I say that you should do it only if a) you are going to redeem the points more or less immediately for a stay/flight or b) you need an activity to extend the life of your points.
The extra buy points promotions with IHG Rewards are no longer worth it, IMO, because IHG Rewards has shifted over to a dynamic points pricing system meaning that it is harder to get a good points deal, although there are still some possible bargains to be had if you get your timing right.

I have been away from IHG for a long time and was wondering whether the Pointbreaks feature has died? A Google search brings up a page which requires bookings to be made by January 2020. Obviously obsolete, but why then is it still there?

These “General Promotion Terms” shall govern all Offers under this Promotion.
You must be an IHG® Rewards member and must register your member number in advance of staying, to participate in the “4X points at avid™ hotels” (“Promotion”). Members can pre-register for this promotion starting July 26, 2021 through August 1, 2021. Members will be able to register, stay, and earn for this promotion beginning August 2, 2021 and ending on November 30, 2021 (“Promotion Period”). Upon registration, members will be presented with the opportunity to earn 4X bonus points every night stayed at an avid hotel during the Promotion Period when paying a Qualifying Rate (as such rates are defined in the IHG Rewards terms and conditions). A member earning “4X bonus points every night”, as defined by this campaign, will receive four times the base points earned on every night stayed at an avid hotel on a qualifying rate. You must register, book, and stay on or before November 30, 2021 to earn bonus points during the Promotion Period.
By clicking “click to register” you are registering for the Promotion. Members will be awarded bonus points based upon the number of nights consumed during the Promotion Period at avid hotels. Promotion Period begins on August 2, 2021 and ends on November 30, 2021. Members will only receive bonus points for nights occurring during the Promotion Period. Nights that occurred before or after the Promotion Period are excluded. The bonus points earned during the Promotion Period can be used towards Reward Nights, can be redeemed for merchandise, or for other redemption opportunities.
