One or two references have been made to ongoing construction work outside the Salisbury Rd IC.

Is it noisy?
Where is it?
Is it intrusive?

A picture says a thousands words. I took this short clip Monday 13th March.

I was not disturbed by the work but my room was a Harbour View.

But if you are Ambassador, you should ask to purchase club access upon check-in. You will receive some discount.
My girlfriend is a Spire Ambassador and she's booked into SUPERIOR ROOM using the free night voucher.
Is this the only option to get club access?

Since the hotel doesn't sell club rooms (club is an add-on to all rooms) and you must book the Ambassador Weekend rate, I don't think this is possible.

You need to pay for 2nights. Even if you use AMB Weekand Certificate.

Any "add ons" you buy upsell for at hotel , will be charged for each and every night

So on a bogo, upselling eg room-upgade, breakfast, lounge etc would be charged both nights

That is why an Ambassador wating club-lounge and using a bogo is advised, where hotel sells club-rooms online, to book a bogo room including club-lounge upfront

Thanks all - I just wasn't sure how it would work with a BOGOF.

At my last visit was told that they will completely close the hotel for renovation in around one year from now. They will renovate 'everything' including the lobby, the rooms etc.
Renovation will take around one year (at least that is what they are planning for.....)

You can use the BOGO (so far) for all bookings (on weekends) except suite bookings. When you book a "room" and get upgraded to a suite, you can still use the BOGO.

Your Ambassador status will always give you a 1-level upgrade. In HKGs case, from superior to deluxe harbour view, or deluxe harbour view to (partial) harbour view junior suite, respectively.

I would stick to your original booking in your case. - Just my opinion
I am completely new to this whole thing. Could you please enlighten me. What i BOGO ? Is it some kind of discount you can get at some hotel ? If so, how ? Thanks.

Ambassador membership (and renewal) comes with a free night certificate, that can be used to pay for the second night on a weekend stay at any IC hotel, valid for 12 months.

Currently here for 4 nights. Booked 2 Del Harbour View and upgraded to 2 x Executive Suites Harbour View on the 14th floor, so can't complain especially as one night is on an AMB voucher.

Spire gift is $135 food discount voucher, AMB gets 2 x drinks vouchers per room (worth $100+ each given the prices).

Shockingly expensive here though, if you are from the UK. £30 for a margherita pizza in the lobby, £11 for a beer. Breakfast was 'reduced' to £30 each (£23 for the kids) plus tax if I agreed on arrival to take it each day.

Hotel definitely needs a refurb, can't argue with that. It is well maintained but feels old.

Construction on either side is shockingly ugly, especially around the pool. Can't hear a thing in our room to be fair. My wife was speechless when she saw the state of the building work.
