Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked King Superior, upgraded to Hospitality Suite
How are the rooms?
This suite was one of the best we've had recently. It was a corner room with a lot of light and had good views. It had a more expansive layout than some of the other suites we've been in and also had one and half bathrooms.
How is the exec. lounge?
The lounge closed several years ago, but the hotel gives breakfast vouchers for the buffet downstairs. I think even Ambassadors get the breakfast vouchers.
Did you receive a welcome gift?
Bottle of red wine, chocolate covered oreo decorated with a fleur de list, minimal fruit (2 apples, one pear, one banana). Large bottle of Evian.
How was the minibar?
OK - only 2 beer cans (Heineken), one red and one white wine, 2 vodkas, 2 rums, several types of whiskey. Good mixers though and several Perriers
What was good and what was bad?
-Good
Location, free breakfast, upgrade to suite, water refilled daily, friendly staff, nice pool.
-Bad
We were there for 4 nights and the minibar was refilled once. Also, only had turndown service on first night.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Yes
Would you return?
Yes

Ic las vegas the palazzo
IC Las Vegas The Palazzo
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
It was good. Under normal circumstances, an RA would be thrilled with an upgrade to a suite of this size at any other property. It's hard to compare the RA treatment, as every room in the hotel is a suite.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked the basic suite and given a 2 level upgrade to a Fortuna Suite on the 36th of 50 floors, with view of the strip.
How are the rooms?
All of the rooms in the Palazzo and adjoining Venetian property are suites. The Fortuna Suite is a larger square footage with a sunken living room, sofa and small sitting table. The bedroom is in a large area open to the living room with comfortable pillows, sheets and mattress. Bathrooms are done in marble type tile with a separate shower and soaking tub. The Fortuna Suites generally have a nice view of Las Vegas Boulevard and the foothills to the west.
How is the exec. lounge?
In a word - weak. Since my first stay two years ago, they've stripped even the meager food offerings from the buffet area. This time, the only thing available in the evening was some sliced melon and tea cookies. There is a coffee urn for serve yourself coffee and tea. A butler is available to offer drinks like espresso or cocktails. On a happy note, they were serving Veuve Cliquot Champagne.
The lounge area is small but comfortable. Still, this would never fly as a club lounge anywhere but in Vegas.
Did you receive a welcome gift?
A bowl of fruit with a bag of jelly beans (it was Easter week) and two small bottles of house labeled water. Other than that, there was no welcome letter, or any information re: RA benefits.
How was the minibar?
It was a nice selection of juices, red and white wine, and a split of Moet Brut Imperial. My understanding is there is a $100 max on the minibar per stay, but there was no explanation offered by any of the staff this time.
What was good and what was bad?
-Good
-Aromatherapy Associates product in the bathrooms
-The Canyon Ranch health club in the adjoining Venetian is a well equipped full service gym with a variety of workout amenities.
-I was surprised to hear they allow late checkout till 6pm, rather than the usual 4pm for RA's.
-Bad
-Dismal food offerings in the Club Lounge.
-Ripoff resort fee of $39/nt. To add insult to injury, they also add sales tax to the fee, bringing the grand total to $43/nt.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
60K a night for a suite is not bad. The midweek rate of $149/nt plus resort fee seems to be the best deal going. I wouldn't pay much more than that given the other options in Vegas.
Would you return?
Not a big fan of Vegas, but if the rate were right and I had to be there, it and the Venetian are the only true IC's in town.

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Executive King, upgraded to Executive Suite on the 39th floor
How are the rooms?
This suite was about 85m2 and offered a large bathroom with double sink, walk-in shower, and bathtub. The bedroom has one king bed and floor to ceiling windows with beautiful view of the city, and the flooring was carpet. There was little noise from the construction around the hotel. The living room had a small desk and a sofa and two chairs. The decor was typical IC, well kept in brownish tints.
How is the exec. lounge?
Due to a busy schedule, I was not able to visit the lounge.
Did you receive a welcome gift?
There were Arabic sweets and fruit on the table in the living room
How was the minibar?
Without remembering the exact contents, it made me happy when I opened it
I also had consumed some candy bars and these were not put on the bill
What was good and what was bad?

Location, upgrade to suite, water refilled daily, friendly staff, great bed and pillows

InterContinental Jeddah
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest flexible rate and received a king business suite with club access.
How are the rooms?
The IC Jeddah has been around for a while and it shows in its decor, classical. The room is about 70m2 and consists of a large living room with wooden floor. The work desk is also located there. The power plugs are sunken in the desk so Apple laptop adapters will not fit. The Bedroom has carpet and has a large bed, chair and access to the adjecent bathroom. Bathroom is decent size but does not have a walk-in shower. The shower itself delivered OK water pressure. Rooms were in inmaculate condition and very clean.
How is the exec. lounge?
Very good lounge with good selection in the morning and also a la carte serving in the evening. Excellent lounge staff and swift service. Found the design of the lounge to be a bit dated.
What was good and what was bad?
Good:
- Comfy bed
- Great club lounge
- Excellent staff
Bad
- Nothing essential but having a walk-in shower and Apple accessible power plugs at the desk would have made this a great place
Value for $ or IHG Rewards Club Points? Would you return?

The reason is that the layout of a review post will be lost if this post is linked in the first post. Thus makes a post with review barely readable.
Thank you for your understanding

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked two nights on Reward Nights and received the Presidential Suite.
We arrived at 1pm and our allocated room was not ready. The front desk person explained that check-in was not promised until 3pm. He seemed new and so I politely reminded him of the RA check-in benefit. After a visit to the back office he informed us that we would be given the Presidential Suite
How are the rooms?
Very nice. Huge space and well appointed as expected.
How is the exec. lounge?
Didn't visit and access terms were not clear. We were out all day and didn't need or want to visit.
Did you receive a welcome gift?
Mineral water and fruit
How was the minibar?
Half bottles of red, white, and sparkling wine.
Minis if Jameson, gin, vodka plus the usual beer and soft drinks.
Full Nespresso setup in the kitchen
What was good and what was bad?
All good on this stay except for overall competency at check-in which I attribute to the person being new
Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Points were a decent value compared to rates on Easter weekend
Would you return?
Yes

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
No.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked King Junior Suite, received Executive Suite. (1 Category Upgrade) Got a welcome letter where it said that RA's get only a one category upgrade - after I told them that a double upgrade is actually guaranteed, they just told me to come back in case I don't like the suite.
How are the rooms?
Quite old, though well maintained. Bathroom quite dirty - several long black hairs on the floor.
How is the exec. lounge?
No lounge available.
Did you receive a welcome gift?
Mineral water and fruit.
How was the minibar?
Nothing special, a few soft drinks and the usual small spirits.
What was good and what was bad?
Poor RA recognition, location not really good as well. Ordered room service once, extremely poor quality.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Would you return?
No.

Nothing special, a few soft drinks and the usual small spirits.
What was good and what was bad?
Poor RA recognition, location not really good as well. Ordered room service once, extremely poor quality.

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Absolutely
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked lowest category, received Suite (there is only one category apart from one larger apartment)
How are the rooms?
Dated in old (heavy) decor but in fabolous condition. Separate bedroom (Sofa, armchair, desk) and living room (bed, armchairs), each with an own bathroom (one has a jacuzzi, one shower stall). Suite has two entrance doors, one for each room (2 room numbers as well, slightly weird since the layout does not allow to rent rooms separately). Large but unfurnished balcony along both rooms.
How is the exec. lounge?
Located just below top floor, great views and fantastic service. Breakfast offers no less then main restaurants (eggs made to order), evening spread includes hot dishes. Regular spirits and various wines in the evening. Cake and sandwiches available during the day.
Did you receive a welcome gift?
Mineral water, fruit and a bottle of (truly horrible) local red wine.
How was the minibar?
Suite has two full minibars (only discovered on last day ). Various miniature spirits, beers, wine, various soft drinks and lots of water.
Additional water provided with turndown service.
What was good and what was bad?
Amazing service throughout, very good RA recognition and nice lounge.
Spa on top floor offers great views but is dated. Bad ventilation in gym.
Room service food quality was mediocre.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Amazing on rates well below USD 100, still great at higher rates.
Would you return?
Any time.
Absolutely
