Royal Ambassador Experience Thread 2017

Template for Posting in this thread

How to post

1. Do not use the "Reply with Review Button" but the regular one

2. Put the name of the hotel in the title of the post and the thread

3. Use the following format by extracting it, ie by using "reply quoting", copying the content into memory, then backing out of "reply quoting" and then pasting the copied content into a new post. Each line is formatted so that you can paste in between them having deleted these opening comments:

Yes. One of the nicest hotels with the best service in the world.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Standard King and received Jr. Suite with harbor view

How are the rooms?
Very nice.

How is the exec. lounge?
Best Lounge in the system. Full buffet or cooked to order breakfast.

Did you receive a welcome gift?
Fruit Plate

How was the minibar?
Large selection of liquors and mixers

What was good and what was bad?

-Good

Everything!

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Great Value!

Would you return?
Yes if I returned to Hong Kong this would be my number one hotel choice

Yes, very much

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest advance rate and received a One bedroom Premier Suite with Terrace

How are the rooms?
The suite is around 75sqm large
Warm contemporary interior design.

One room with seating area, dining table anddesk.

Bedroom with very comfortable bed
iPhone dock
Keuring coffee machine + Lavazza expresso coffee machine.

Bedroom with very comfortable bed.

Bathroom with small bathtub and separate shower. Large Agraria bottles amenities. The pressure of the water in the shower is somewhat too low.

2 flat screen television sets with large selection of international channels

Very quiet. Very efficient air conditioning

Superb terrace with deck chairs and outdoor sofa
Large balconies
View over the city.

How is the exec. lounge?
N/A

What was good and what was bad?

GOOD
- Very friendly and attentive staff
- Very nice heated outdoor pool
- The hotel has no club lounge but a small VIP lounge with free softdrinks, coffee and cookies (and great staff)
- The breakfast was offered (good but not exceptional) served with friendly staff
- Free limousine service for short distance rides

BAD
- Bicycles can not be rented (despite quite remote location)

Value for $ or IHG Rewards Club Points? Would you return?
Yes, definitely

PS: I went back a week later at the hotel on points, and received the same room category (with smaller terrace) and full RA benefits.
