That was a good deal! I paid AUD 156 (AP) and AUD 275 (Flex rate) respectively, so I somehow deserved to be upgraded to a suite

Unhappy

I'm a PC Platinum of many years standing and have used Prioririty Privilege to maximimise my saving in Asia Pacific. I've been a PP member for 15 years and was conviced to rejoin recently as the sales rep claimed they offeredVIP rates to long term members andI could obtain "5 star rooms at 2 star prices".After checking my new literature,online bookings and PP's member number .. no reference to VIP rates;
It also seems Sydney Intercontental does play ball to the extent they once did; and
After 3 emails .. no response from Priority Privilege's Customer Service
Not Happy 56

Great value! Could use F&F and points plus cash even in the peak season. YES, I will return!

I stayed at this property for business and was quite happy (friendly staff, upgrade to pretty large corner executive room with balcony, good restaurant).

Waiting still for the new IC in Lyon

I haven't tried this one yet and I wonder if you can walk to the airport tram stop nearby? Or do you have to tram back to Part Dieu? I stay at the airport NH from time to time (and many times at the old LYS Sofitel) and I would be happy to switch to this HI and earn a few points.

And what is this talk of an IC in Lyon?

No idea about the tram as I arrived and left by cab
But there is a tram station just opposite the hotel.

I must say I had the opposite experience a few weeks ago. Beds were comfy, staff were friendly and gave us a good late check out despite the place being fully booked. Best of all is the location which is within staggering distance of all the useful places!
