If it really does help you towards elite status (I can just imagine the call center interactions now, trying to get those points to post as qualifying), then it could sort of be interesting. But I'm not motivated to push any stays to IHG with this promo, 2,000 points isn't enough. By the way, I haven't received the offer... maybe it will come in later today.

I have registered for it but fear that I will not be able to stay anywhere before the end of March as Germany is locked down . My ambassador voucher expired unused last year and an RA free night expires at the end of February 😐 hopefully I can use those issued for this year !

Very timely for me, I have a 14 day stay in HI Mumbai airport of 14 nights isolation coming up soon..
Might retain Spire in one hit..

Is this for every two nights or on a stay that's 2+ nights? So for a 4 night stay, do I get 4,000 bonus?

The email I got implies it is every 2nd qualifying note, and stays do not need to be 2+ nights.

It is 2000 points for every two nights - at least this is the way I read their reply to my tweet:


And this is also most people read it.

Yes, a 1 night stay followed by a 3-night stay ---> 4,000 bonus points posting with the second stay.

There's something in the small print about 70,000 maximum bonus points because there are only 71 nights for the promo. So I'd say no...

Sorry I misunderstood - I thought you said you already had 4000 points posted to your accounts after having a 1-night stay and a 3-night stay.
