Ambassador benefits at Regent Hotels until 31.12.22 (excl. China)
I just had a message announcing that ambassador benefits will now apply to stays at Kimpton and Regent until the end of December next year, also confirmed that weekend night certs worked in both as well. Makes things more interesting in some cities!

Can you share more info about this? The last email from IHG about ambassador (advertising the FN promo) says this " Ambassador benefits are not honored at Kimpton ® Hotels & Restaurants, including the room upgrade. Regent® Hotels will recognise InterContinental Ambassador on-property benefits from 30 July 2020 – 31 December 2021, excluding properties in Greater China"

I got an email last week and there is a message in the app
to clarify
AMB benefits are now recognised at Regent Hotels
The AMB weekend cert is usable on any day of the week at both Kimton and Regent

These benefits only apply to IC. The only "benefit" for Kimpton is the free weekend night, you don't get extended check out or room upgrades or f/b credits at Kimpton. " Ambassador benefits are not honored at Kimpton ® Hotels & Restaurants, including the room upgrade. Regent® Hotels will recognise InterContinental Ambassador on-property benefits from 30 July 2020 – 31 December 2021, excluding properties in Greater China"

This is indeed only the Free night and not additional Ambassador Benefits at Kimpton. It was discussed a couple of weeks ago in this post:
