I recently became platinum and have ready they send you a new welcome pack. I hadn't received anything so i requested one through the IHG account page. I only got a Platinum card without the Ambassador logo on it.
IHG said they would send me a new one out. Its been nearly 2 months and nothing. I have a booking I want to make for end of May and use the free weekend certificate I read I would get. I have a few questions though. Is this an entitlement or just what happens? If I ask them about could they not send it out because I shouldn't get it?

Thank you for confirming. I have received a new card but its not an ambassador card which I am following up. They said it should be an ambassador card and someone did originally mention a "pack" but the other person I spoke to wasn't sure.
Are you confusing IC Ambassador status with IHG Platinum Elite status? They aren't tied together as far as I know. You can become and IC Ambassador if you are IHG Gold or Platinum. The cards and welcome packs are different.
If you moved up from IHG Gold to IHG Platinum then that has no bearing on your IC Ambassador status - but I could be wrong!
