Nothing of any use to me once again. Wrong side of California for me and the IC in Cambodia, whilst nice, isn't any use as I won't be there for a few months yet.

You can stay at as many hotels as you want in three months, just pay the "regular point price" for the hotel !

You know, I never even bother with these, because the offers are never for anywhere I need to go. If I want to book a room with points, I just book the going rate, often with the points and $40 option. Let's face it, you're never going to get properties in Geneva or Hong Kong with this, that's just the way it is.

I would have thought the CP Bucharest could be good, and in Germany, Gütersloh and Fulda could be really handy if you're on the road seeking an overnight. I find the European list slightly better quality than before, (Arnhem, Budapest, Marseille-Provence airport), but Canada is very poorly represented.

You're totally right, Concerto. Let's face it: while PB may have had some more lucrative properties at the start, IHG has realized its popularity so now just uses PB as a way to unload surplus room availibility at low capacity and cheap hotels.

Thankfully, IHG's stock of hotels is huge so there's usually a hidden gem or two. I'm not telling the one I found till I book in an hour or so

The PBs for Latin America have been very good to me, but I have to give (at least here, if not on a review site) a warning about the area of the very nice Buenos Aires HI. I spent two days hearing the story from a Swedish businessman who left the highway an exit too early (Ciudad Evita) coming back from the city, and was robbed of everything by a gang who tossed water on the car to stop him, then pulled guns. Police said gangs control many of the highway exits, though the EZE HI seemed safe enough to me, as my taxi driver was well aware of dangers. Probably anywhere in the world, if someone blocks your car, step on the gas.
