Is it possible to check a hotel's availability before calling to book? If for example an IC has 2 reward nights available, does this mean those 2 nights are eligible as one's ITN "free nights"?

They've been restored.

Yes, they re-disappeared. I called for a dummy booking, hoping they'd be converted to points, but no ... the rep was able to book the nights as free ITN ones - drat. I'll try to use them as best I can.

Adding to Data point
Just adding my experience.
I had 2 nights on my account, they were gone, then came back, then was gone again within about a day or two. When I called luckily they could still see it on their end and I was able to book the award nights. I had screen grabs for the record, but I was glad I didn't have to go through a whole rigmarole with IHG. Good luck everyone. Cheers. |
Just completed my redemption from the bonus nights, had a great time with kids in an all inclusive beach resort where I was able to redeem my 2 nights from 4 stays and the extra night that was mysteriously given to me, plus 2 chase anniversary night (Mine & SO).
Even though most complain about IHG's poor IT and lack of logic in assigning tasks, I never complain because I then think about industry consolidation (AA & US, UA & CO, SPG & Marriot) and the elimination of promos and tightening of freebies. |

I would like at least to be able to check availability. Thanks. http://www.ihg.com/hotels/us/en/rese...eference=IVITN |
Can anyone tell me a direct phone number to call to book a free night? I cannot get anything other than a computerized answer system that doesn't let me get to the right department.
And why the frequent mention of "Manila"? Is there a separate reservations number in the Philippines that gives better service? |

I know there have been speculations in prior posts, but has anyone determined if they are able to book the 2014 ITN nights before 12/31/15 for a stay in January? If not, would check-in of 12/30 and check out the morning of 01/01 suffice for "2015 stay." Thanks!

Just before they disappeared for good, I did a test booking for 2016, with the hotel showing nothing for January and February, so I'd say the idea that they can be pre-booked is a myth. I think checking out on 1/1 should work.
i have done it . |
