Oneworld Switcher Seeking Recommendations

Hi everyone, I'm thinking about switching my frequent flyer program from British Airways.

Fly out of JFK, mostly Premium Economy long-haul to Europe (London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam) and sometimes on to Asia (Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore).

Looking for a program with:
  • Lounge access
  • Easier Premium Economy to Business upgrades (current program has limited award space - making it difficult to upgrade)
  • Miles that stay active with credit card spend
Open to any airline/alliance. What would you recommend? Thanks!

What have you found when looking?
Look here --What are your objectives from a ffp?

Upgrades are *never* easy. Just expect that you will not get upgraded.

Lounge access come with class of service or mid - top status.
In USA OWS OWE status with AA or AS will not give USA domestic flight lounge access. Where as the same OW status with BA, QR and others in OW will give access.

OW is still the best for lounge access, especially OWE in FC lounges like QF, CX etc. and UPG's. AS is still distance based for mileage earning and no expiration of miles and offers milestone awards as you accumulate EQM. Plus it's easiest to hit OWE. Since most airlines went to monetizing front cabins, definitely more difficult to get free UPG's. I've tried 1K, Elite+, and OWE and liked OWE best.
