8k spend, looking for bonus

Hi. Thank you for your help.

We're spending 9K at AA and have utilized all the Citi Bank AAmiles bonus offerings.

Would anyone of a good CC card to get AA bonus benefits/stuff with this spend?

Or any suggestions and how to maximize this spend using a credit card?

Thank you

Does Barclays still offer a credit card linked to AAdvantage? If so, you might check to see if the spending you envision would meet the requirements for one of their current promotions.

How long ago? Do you still have an open Barclays/AA card? Some prior cardholders have been able to get the SUB more than once with Barclays.

Well, I talked on the phone today, they said no bonus to current card holders. But yeah, we've had the card forever.

You're saying it's worth a try to apply?

Thanks for helping

No, not if you both still have an open Barclays/AA card.

If you previously had the card and *closed* it thereafter, then you might be able to get a new card with a new bonus. But not otherwise.

The Citi Strata card now allows transfer of points to AA, so possibly this could be of interest.
