Navigating CVG

My friend is about to fly solo from London Heathrow (LHR) to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) - it's a direct flight. I have no worries about LHR as we have both navigated it together many times. However, neither of us has been to CVG. Does anyone know if it is a fairly easy airport to navigate? I'm a assuming it's pretty standard - get off the plane and follow signs for immigration to get passport checked then collect checked bag then go through customs?

At U.S. airports, a passenger arriving from LHR on a nonstop flight is not going to be given the option of not going through Immigration and Customs (unless an airport ground-crew staffer screws up). Arriving passengers will be forced into a path which takes them into Immigration and then baggage claim, and finally Customs.

I've changed planes at CVG more than once, though never on an international flight. It's a comparatively small airport, quite easy to get around in my experience. Immigration and customs are as you describe. Remember that Cincinnati/Ohio and northern Kentucky (where the airport is located) are in the U.S. Eastern time zone.
