LHR to SIN - stopover?

I’m flying to Singapore in August on BA business class. I was thinking of saving a little money and taking the LHR - DOH - SIN flight (3 hour stopover) instead of the direct flight. Would be BA to DOH and then Qatar Airways.

Was wondering if this is worth doing. Would the lounge be very busy between 12am and 2am? (Have BA gold if that helps).

If it saves money and you're not in a hurry, why not? QR's soft and hard products are superior than BA's. You'll also earn 560 TP on QR vs. 280 on BA. Al Mourjan lounge is open 24 hours.

Unless, of course, OP intends to fly economy with QR instead of J with BA – in which case BA Gold would only get access to the Plat/Gold Lounge rather than Al Mourjan.

Thanks for the replies. I’m planning to fly J on either carrier so might well go with the Doha stop. Get to try another airline at the very least!

The DOH lounge will be busiest during this time, but you won't have trouble being served.

There are 2 Al Mourjan lounges that you'll have access to. Both very good.

The DOH-SIN flights normally leave from the newer C pier, iirc, so the Al Mourjan Garden will be the better-located (and also newer) lounge.
