Route Option Help

Hello, our family of 4 is trying to find a way to DPS on award travel, this summer mid June when school gets out, to mid July. Ideally it would include a stopover in ICN on our return for a few weeks - July to early Aug. I've looked up options but difficult to find. One thought was fly to Singapore and get separate tickets on low cost carrier into DPS and back? We are located DC Metro but open to flying out of any domestic City that could make this happen. Can anyone recommend a best carrier / flight option that could make this work?

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question.

Thanks for any advice!

Without telling us how many miles you have in which FFPs (or how many transferrable points you have in which credit-card programs, like Amex MR or Chase UR), it's tough for us to give good advice.

Also, are you looking to travel in Economy Class, or in some premium cabin?

Getting 4 award seats on the same flight can be *very* hard even in economy. In a premium cabin at a busy time tending to impossible.
Very few ffp awards now allow "stop overs". So DPS-ICN and ICN-DC would need to be separate awards. Look for 3 one ways
So keep your expectations realistic (that is not as you first 2 sentences). Have you done long haul family awards before?

Looking to travel in Economy for us all. We have enough MR or UR to make the trip. I should have been more thorough in my initial post, sorry.

Thank you Mwenenzi for the suggestion and map routing. Yes, our children have done quite a few long haul. It's a bit over my knowledge trying to piece this one together. I was initially thinking RT w/ ANA via SIN but noticed they all go through Japan; two separate trips to destinations isn't ideal.

Alaska airlines allows stopovers and KE is one of their partners.

Obtaining AS miles may be difficult if you don't already have them though.

Don't have many AS, unfortunately. Was thinking Air Canada but routing is challenging. =/

On June 18, I'm seeing a three-stop option IAD-DPS, or a two-stop option EWR-DPS. Each is 49,300 Aeroplan miles plus modest fees.
