Using the bulkhead as a walk through?

Curious to know if my experience is alone in this. Last year, I flew Delta from ATL to FCO and sat in the first row of the middle section of Premium Economy, behind the bulkhead. There were four seats in the row, and many of us just kept our bags on the floor in front of us after takeoff and until they had to be stowed. The strange part, I thought, was that several people used that space to cross over from one aisle to the other during the flight. I didn't comment, nor was I rude to anyone, but I wondered to myself and my wife if this is considered normal? Is that space intended for passengers to cross from one aisle to the other? Curious about your thoughts. I am 6;5" tall, so my legs stretched to the wall, so I had to move them to let people pass.

I have seen flight attendants ask to cut through. If the galley was busy, I'd probably let other passengers through without saying anything. Otherwise, "do you know this isn't an aisle?".

I can recall being told to do that by an FA once on a widebody, when the carts were in the aisles. It was probably on Delta, SFO-HNL.

FAs yes, other passengers no, its not an aisle to be used its your seat areaZ. People are either rude, or oblivious.

Different airline, but on this CX 777 (https://www.aerolopa.com/cx-77a) the only sensible way to cross in the PE cabin to the restroom is in front of row 30 (galley is in Y behind row 45).

That's rather harsh.

Sometimes passengers are told to use that space by FA's who don't want to move a food or beverage cart to let you past - I speak from personal experience. Should I have argued with the FA, stood there and demanded they move the cart, or tip-toed past the bulkhead seats?

You really have two options if youre in a bulkhead seat.

A. Sure, come on through, or
B. Sorry, please walk around.

either one is OK by me. Its your call.

I tend to put my large wheeled carryon in the space (after takeoff of course) and then use it as a footrest. Nobody is going to get past that!

...until a FA or pax ask you (kindly) to let her/him through. I doubt a trolley/carry-on will stop someone who has decided to make the short-cut.
