A guide, but does not have all ffp's or consider the detailed ffp rules-->https://www.awardhacker.com/
Also consider cash co-payment if any. Real taxes will apply
The "cheapest" means nothing if no availability.
Many ffp's are tending to dynamic awards with no award chart. Or very little standard/saver awards from the chart.
Earn to burn varies by ffp. But many credit cards transfer at the same rate.

What class of service?

Starting and ending in large cities? Or traveling from and/or to smaller cities?

Thank you for recommending this website! I found some good deals but am not sure what dates the tickets are.
How can I search for a range of dates? or, how do I know which tickets are for which dates on that website.

In the near term, cheap award ticket availability to China will be approximately 0.

Thank you for the reply, I'm planning to go to China either in July or December, do you think would that make a difference in your experience?

You want to go on a high demand route during a high demand time (holidays) for "cheap"? Not going to happen. Better to get a cashback credit card and use the credit to offset the lowest priced ticket when you're ready to book.

Especially given all the pent up demand from the last three years, I'd say that there would be no difference this year. In my view, your best bet would be to get something like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, buy a cheap ticket, and use the Pay Yourself Back thing or whatever.
