Over the next 3 months, my family of 5 adults will be flying business return from BOM-NYC on Delta/Virgin Atlantic (Delta One+ & Upper Class). I wanted to ask if there are any good family mileage programs aligned with OneWorld that would allow us to pool miles since we are potentially looking to earn a lot of miles. I only see us using Oneworld this one time as we are Star Alliance Gold and would switch back to using Star Alliance airlines later this year.

Delta/Virgin Atlantic are not in OW. DL is in Skyteam and VS non aligned.
If any flights are codeshares carefully the check ff miles earnings. Codeshares ff earnings can be problematic

I think you mean you are looking for pooling miles together for SkyTeam flights and/or Virgin Atlantic more than pooling miles together for Oneworld flights. Delta is part of the SkyTeam group of airlines; meanwhile British Airways is part of the Oneworld group of airlines.

Not sure what you would do with VS-operated flights, but Aeromexico and Korean Air do have some kind of family mileage pooling arrangements for the Delta flights.

To pool miles with Virgin Atlantic program accounts, it's been possible if having Gold status in the program. Not sure if your flights on DL+VS would get you there or not, but something to keep in mind. An alternative to that is to instead consider the Virgin Australia program.
