Etihads website bug?

Hi,
It's my first time booking a flight on Etihad, and I found some strange issue when trying to enter my Advantage number in the "Loyalty programme" field. Despite having no issues if I enter my new Etihad Guest number, or my ANA Mileage #, I got an "invalid format" error when entering my AAdvantage number there.
My only explanation is something related with the number+letter format in AA's #, unlike Etihad and ANA's # (all numbers), so maybe that field is only accepting numbers. Or maybe there is a recent issue between Etihad and AA and AAdvantage is not welcomed anymore? Anyone else having the same problem?

A question best asked in EY forum--> https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/etih...had-guest-692/
Is your name in the EY reservation *exactly* the same as AA & ANA ffp?
Dedicated EY thread on AA forum--->https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...er-thread.html

Hi,
Thanks, I will try in the EY forum next time. My name in EY matches with AA (although not ANA). The problem is something about the AA# format, not my name, unfortunately.
Anyway, I opted to use the Etihad Guest #, since eventually it's possible to redeem those miles with Etihad's partners (including AA).

Having multiple accounts (with small balances?) is generally not a good idea. You may never get enough to use before they expire. Without a ffn in the reservation/boarding pass you can retro claim after the flight.
From Miles/Points that Do and Don't Expire EY miles expire after 18 months of no activity. EY platinum guest miles do not expire (from 01Jul2020)
