Old Passport not returned yet
I received my renewed passport on August 26th. Today is Sept 29th. I haven't received my old passport yet. I tried calling the National Passport Number and all I ever get is a recording with information. I can't get to a Customer Rep.
1. Should I be worried if I don't receive it back? I do have a valid renewed passport.
2. Is there any other way to check on why other than calling the numbers given? By the way, you can't get through to a customer rep as it only provides information, etc,
3. I'm assuming once they issue me the new one, the old one is marked invalid so even if it's floating around somewhere I assume I can use the new one and the old is invalid?
Thanks for any help,

Mine showed up ~4 weeks after the new passport. Not sure why it takes longer but just how it is set up.

Old passports comes back with holes punched through the pages so no longer usable, though Id still be concerned about getting it back as it has all your personal info.

Thanks. Then I'm still hopefull as mine has been about a month now. I wouldn't think the pandemic would slow it down that much as ten years ago I think I got it back just a few days later. However, maybe it is slowed down that much. As far as personal information, I guess it's just Name, birthplace, birthdate. I guess a lot of places hae access to that. I still would like it back though.
I can't get a live person on the phone through the Passport # though. Anyone have any success or idea to make that happen?
Thanks. It most likely will still come.

Seem to be more on track, but I received my passport five weeks ago and never did get my original passport back. Don't know if I should be worried or not. It expires in Jan and I already have my new one.

They tend to arrive later, especially if you expedite the passport. When I renewed my passport right when expedited processing started back up last year, I got my new passport first, passport card second and then the old passport. In fact, I think I got the card and old passport at the same time, but in 2 different packages. They don't stick the rest of the stuff in the expedite box - just the new passport.
