Vacation ideas?
Due to COVID, we are not flying anywhere. Just thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has any vacation ideas?
Some I had was go to the beach, visit national parks, hiking, fishing. We live in NJ but have no problem driving. Any other ideas or places to visit?

Visiting a national park or state park or national monument or national seashore and going on the hiking trails there and/or fishing sounds like a great idea. It's just that I'm on the opposite side of the country so I'm not sure what is in that group is reasonable driving distance from you, plus is in a state that won't mind people from NJ at this moment. I recently went on vacation to a national park within my big state (California) and loved it. And I'm planning another trip to a mostly-natural area (though not specifically a national park) in another part of California around October (when some of the leaves turn there).

I think this is one of those time where it might be best to do local in-state vacations and see some locations that under normal circumstances you wouldn't even visit. I've seen reports of places that are requesting people to self quarantine if they visited a nearby state. We have no idea how things are going to be next week, a month from now. Best to play it safe. Stay local and spend local.

In case you're not familiar with it, here's a list of state parks and such in NJ:
