NYC-CMB options - EY vs LO
Had to change travel plans abruptly due to China travel ban, now trying to book alternate routing.
I thought I booked JFK-AUH-CMB on EY/UL in J, but AA informed me AUH-CMB segment is now in Y.
Or I can do same time, EWR-WAW-CMB on LO, all in J.
Both depart around 10 PM and land around 5AM.
On one hand, can't compare EY and LO.
On the other, really convenient 2 9-hour flights in J (that I intend to sleep every available minute) vs 12 hr in J / 4 in Y, that will likely leave us pretty tired.
We planned to schedule a full day of activities upon arrival in CMB.
Which routing do you recommend?

I would go for LO because I can't imagine going to Y for 4 hours after 12 hour long flight. LO has good beds and is fine when traveling with partner. That would be my go.

LO WAW CMB on their 789 was good. Nothing spectacular but good solid product.
EWR waw was on a wet leased air Belgium a340.
Online reviews were nice, we found it very disappointing. Very narrow seats - very surprising for a 2-2-1 configuration, worn plane, very poor soft product. But I guess better than flying the second leg overnight in Sri Lankan Y.
Just wanted to give an update for anyone in same boat.
