Any miles/points programs ...transferrable?

Are there any mile or points programs where points/mile can be transferred to another person for free? I bought an AA ticket for someone travelling with me that didn't have any AA miles. Just wondering if there is a way I could be paid back using miles/points from another program. thanks

I think B6 is the only airline with a program that has free sharing extended to friends via their pooling system.

Hyatt has a fee free system but it required paperwork. Hilton also has a fee free system but with some additional restrictions.

QF ffp allows ff points to be transferred to eligible family members for free (not pooling as such).
Some ffp's have family pooling subject to t&c's (BA, QR, VA and others)

VA & SQ allows ff points to transfer the other as 1:1.35 ratio (so not 1:1--> a loss) Soon to be 1:1.55?. That is very unusual in the ffp world

iowa guy's friend should join AAdvantage

This is true. I made an assumption that is a friend or non-family member by the way OP phrased it. Many of these programs (free or with fee) have family or address restrictions

You should be aware that you absolutely can gift AA award tickets to anyone. However, if you do so predicated on receiving value back - of any kind - you’d be in violation of AAdvantage terms and conditions. We have seen accounts closed, Miles and status lost, for several FlyerTalk members who have sold, bought, bartered or otherwise traded American Airlines instruments of various kinds including Miles awards and upgrades. AA is probably the airline most actively seeking these kinds of transactions and punishing violators.

Hilton allows points to be moved from one account to another.

Marriott allows up to 100K points a year to be moved.

Radisson allows points to be moved if one account is gold.

Hyatt allows points to be moved.

Hertz allows points to be moved (I think one account needs to be gold).

But some of these are only between family members, aren't they? My gist is that the OP may not be talking about family members.

I don't think any of these are restricted to family members. Perhaps you are thinking of the past rules for Starwood.

Actually, I think I misled by the term Hilton Family Pooling, which I guess can be used for more than just families (now that I look it up), but it sounds like it can't from the name, and all I heard before was the name.
