ESTA update transit
Hi everyone,
Currently have an authorized ESTA - used it past summer for an holiday in Hawaii.
Flying tomorrow to Canada (transit in USA).
In my original application I stated that i was NOT IN TRANSIT - now I am in transit. (NY to canada)
I've read other topics where everyone said that you don't need to update this information, that a valid ESTA stays valid.
but on the ESTA website I found this for re-application: - changed your answers to the yes/no answers in the ESTA application.
The Transit question was a "yes/no" question. Does that mean I should still re apply for a new ESTA?

You are not required to make a new ESTA.
I was in the exact same situation some time ago. Applied for ESTA to visit to the US and used it subsequently to transit to Mexico and also on the return Mexico-Europe via MIA. No issues at all.
