Pros:
-The general experience itself.
-Getting to tour Ireland and the EU in general which varies widely in cultures and customs.
-Connections made for future employment.
Cons:
-Potentially significant high(er) costs of program and/or living costs.
-Potential language barrier can cause comprehension problems but that depends on your language skills and further ability to progress.
-Potential limitation of credits transferring or qualify for degree or future studies if course in Ireland isn't completed.
Depending on the program, the field of study and the opportunities this experience could bring about I'd generally say go for it.
