Using AA miles or AS miles for CX award

I am looking to book a award JFK to HKG on CX C class. I have twice as many miles in my AA account than my AS account. I know it costs more to use AA miles 70K vs 50K of AS, but I like AS miles stopover feature which will be valuable later. Which currency should I use to book this?
Thanks

Do you hold a qualifying AA credit card? If you do, that would bring the net cost of an AAdvantage redemption down to 63K miles, after the 10% rebate.

I forget about that. I hold a AA Platinum business card, but I don't see the rebate as a beneift

Maybe you should apply for the Citi/AAdvantage Platinum personal credit card, so that you can get the rebate, and 50,000 bonus miles for your trouble -- after charging $3,000 to the card.
